1. To replace the drawstring of your uniform with the Gi-Strap, begin by connecting one end of the Gi-Stap to the original drawstring with the enclosed safety pin.

2. To insure the safety pin doesn't come loose inside the waistband, wrap the provided piece of tape around the connection as seen to the right.
3. Now carefully pull the Gi-Strap through the waistband of your uniform and re-attach the side-snap buckle to the end of the belt.

4. The Gi-Strap is approximately 8 feet in length. You can cut the Gi-Strap to a shorter length with a pair of scissors and then carefully melt the end of the belt with a flame to prevent it from fraying.

The Gi-Strap is designed to alleviate the shortcomings of the traditional drawstring used in the waistbands of martial arts uniforms.

Martial arts uniforms have a narrow twisted cloth drawstring.

A good idea a few hundred years ago, but not anymore.

Introducing the Gi-Strap
  Drawstrings have several inherent drawbacks.

The knot will often come untied during practice and the person has to readjust their uniform and retie the drawstring.

Even more frustrating is that the drawstring, which is made of the same material as the uniform, is very difficult to loosen when the uniform gets wet from sweat during training.

This problem increases greatly as the uniform is repeatedly worn, washed, and worn again.

Eventually the drawstring becomes frayed and twisted around itself inside the waistband of the uniform, making the uniform almost impossible to remove after a training session.
